A company of young talent

The Ballet Junior de Genève is made up of about fourty student-dancers between the ages of 17 and 23 from the advanced course levels of the Ecole de Danse de Genève (EDG).
As a training course, the BJG continuously forges links with the professional world, favouring direct contact with actively working artsists. Each season, the company prepares several dance programmes that are presented in Switzerland and abroad.
Admission to this course is by audition.

Amongst the extremely varied offer at the  La Bâtie festival de Genève, try to see "Any attempt will end in crushed bodies and shattered bones" by Jan Martens and "Sonoma" by Marcos Morau - La Veronal ! Both choreographers , who have rich and facinating visions , have entrusted  a piece to the Ballet Junior de Genève last season : "Valse" by Marcos Morau and "The Dog Days are Over" by Jan Martens.
On top of this  ex-BJG Laia Duran is dancing in Marcos Morau's "Sonoma" and Baptiste Cazaux, also ex-BJG, is part of the cast for Jan Martens.
